WHAT IS TIPPLE?

Tipple is the name of the Stocktails monthly email newsletter that provides you with two carefully selected stock ideas worthy of your consideration, as well as two cocktail recipes. Tipple is a ‘pairing’ of select stock ideas, with curated cocktail recipes provided by the best cocktail bartenders and mixologists. Tipple is the perfect complement to the Stocktails in-person meetings because it provides content to research and discuss in anticipation of the meetings. Most Stocktails members would like to learn more about investing in individual stocks, and Tipple gets you started.

What is the origin of Tipple?

A goal of Stocktails is to provide a venue where investors can learn more about investing and personal finance topics, in a calm and pleasant environment. Tipple takes your participation with Stocktails to the next level. It provides you with monthly stock and cocktail recipe ideas that you can research, consider and enjoy on your own, and discuss at the next Stocktails meeting.

What do I get with Tipple?

Tipple is value-add in two dimensions:

1.) Two stock ideas produced by a proprietary research process that may be worth further consideration by you, or, in consultation with your personal financial advisor. Each stock idea is worth consideration, given current market conditions. Working as a financial advisor for many, years, Ted Gilbert of Gilbert Investment Management, has worked tirelessly to develop a simple and repeatable proprietary research process. The hope of this research is to find stocks that may produce better risk-adjusted returns. Tipple stock ideas are the product of that research process. Generally, these stock ideas would be considered GARP-type stocks (Growth-At-A-Reasonable-Price). Of course, any ideas should be evaluated further by you, or in conversation with your financial advisor. Remember, there are no guarantees in investing, and everyone’s experience is different.

2) In addition to the stock ideas, Tipple includes two cocktail recipes provided by well-regarded mixologists, or other carefully-selected sources. In most cases, the recipes are unique to the specific bar or restaurant where they were invented. Each recipe is thoughtfully considered with respect to the stock ideas, and current season of the year. Ideally, the cocktail recipes you receive in Tipple are unique, special, and thrilling to enjoy!
